mentoring and practice development.You will also benefit from:A stable collaborative team with an established client baseDirect involvement in broader leadership and practice decisionsA modern Brisbane CBD office with options to work from homeWhat You Will Be Working OnYou will lead the day-to-day performance of the employment law practice and provide senior oversight across matters for both employers and employees.Your remit will include:Guiding strategy on complex, sensitive and high-value mattersMaintaining legal quality, risk discipline and commercial judgementAllocating workflow across the six-person teamLeading file reviews, matter progression and resourcingMentoring lawyers and building succession depthImproving WIP, billing discipline, realisation and recoveryStrengthening precedents, systems and knowledge-sharingGrowing client relationships, referrals and the broader practiceYou will also contribute to recruitment, retention and the continued development of a more scalable, self-sustaining practice.What Type of Person Will Be SuccessfulYou are likely a Senior Associate, Special Counsel or experienced employment lawyer with the judgement and credibility to lead others.You will ideally bring:At least 6 years' post-admission experienceEmployment law, workplace relations or closely aligned litigation expertiseAn unrestricted Australian practising certificateExperience advising employers, employees or both, with the capacity to oversee matters across both sidesConfidence supervising lawyers and reviewing complex workStrong commercial discipline across scope, WIP and billingThe composure to manage demanding clients, competing priorities and sensitive mattersYou will be commercially minded, team-oriented and composed when managing complex clients, competing priorities and difficult conversations.How to ApplyPlease submit your resume and a brief covering note outlining your employment law and leadership experience.
