Castle Group is entering its next phase of growth.
With 20+ years' experience in property development, and over $1B in delivered projects, the Group has expanded into large-scale energy infrastructure across Western Sydney.
We are seeking a Community and Stakeholder Engagement Lead to shape and protect the organisation's social licence as this platform grows.
This is a strategic stakeholder, political and executive advisory mandate, operating at the intersection of:
Community trust and social licence
Government and political interface
Corporate reputation and positioning
You will work closely with senior leadership to design and implement a structured stakeholder strategy that supports project delivery and long-term community confidence while Castle Group delivers major energy infrastructure across Western Sydney.
We are looking for a specialist who:
Has led engagement on complex, politically sensitive infrastructure or energy projects
Understands government overlay and regulatory environments
Builds structured stakeholder frameworks – not just tactical engagements
Advises executive leaders with calm authority
Can design and scale a stakeholder function in a high-growth environment
Understands how social licence directly impacts project viability and capital
Experience with energy, utilities, grid or large-scale infrastructure, or adjacent sectors is required.
Responsibilities
Lead the Enterprise Community & Stakeholder Engagement Strategy
Protect and Strengthen Social Licence to Operate
Manage Senior Government and External Stakeholder Relationships
Support Complex Approvals and Strategic Projects
Establish Engagement Governance, Reporting and Performance Metrics
Build Internal Capability and Leadership
Knowledge and Skills
Extensive senior leadership experience in complex, multi-stakeholder environments such as infrastructure, major development or energy, including establishing enterprise-wide stakeholder engagement frameworks.
Strong understanding of planning systems, regulatory processes and government environments
Proven ability to operate in high-profile or politically sensitive contexts
Strategic, commercially astute leader with the ability to influence
Exceptional communication, analytical and stakeholder mapping capabilities
High integrity, discretion and commitment to positive long-term community outcomes.
Education
Tertiary qualifications in Public Policy, Urban Planning, Communications, Political Science/Government, Law, Infrastructure, Property-related fields or a related discipline.
Membership of a recognised professional body relevant to planning, governance, infrastructure, public policy or stakeholder engagement (desirable).
You will work under a highly experienced and well-respected leader in the industry and an active mentor.
