This is an opportunity to take ownership of your portfolio while working closely with experienced leaders in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.The RoleWorking as part of a collaborative team, you will be responsible for underwriting Financial Lines business, including Professional Indemnity, Directors & Officers and Management Liability.In this role, you will contribute to the delivery of sustainable portfolio outcomes while developing and maintaining long-term relationships with brokers.
You will work closely with the State Manager QLD & NT to support business growth, service excellence and achievement of budget objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesUnderwrite a portfolio of Financial Lines risks, including Professional Indemnity, Directors & Officers and Management LiabilityBuild and strengthen broker relationships, growing your network and delivering a high level of serviceProvide timely, high-quality underwriting decisions that support strong client and broker outcomesContribute to portfolio performance,
supporting revenue growth and expense management in partnership with the State ManagerDrive efficiency and broker engagement by promoting the use of online platforms (SCTP and BindIT) and identifying improvement opportunitiesPlay an active role in broader business initiatives, including planning, innovation and industry engagementAbout YouYou are a motivated and detail-oriented insurance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
You enjoy working collaboratively while also being confident operating independently and managing competing priorities.
You are keen to build your capability and specialise in underwriting.5+ years' experience in insurance (underwriting and/or broking)Robust knowledge of Financial Lines (PI, D&O;, Management Liability)Proven broker relationship and stakeholder management skillsConfident in negotiating and approving insurance termsStrong communication, numeracy and analytical capabilityHigh attention to detail with the ability to manage competing prioritiesProficient in Microsoft Office and business systemsCurrent underwriting experience within an Australian insurerExposure to Public and Products LiabilityTertiary qualifications in Insurance or a related disciplineEverything Counts.
