The service provides beds across three campuses (Sale, Maffra and Heyfield).
Acute services include a full time emergency department, critical care unit, neonatal critical care unit, three operating theatres, day procedure unit, oncology and dialysis services in addition to general medical and services and sub-acute services including rehabilitation.CGH is also a leading teaching hospital, affiliated with Monash University's School of Rural Health and provides placements and clinical experience for students.About DepartmentThe Medical Ward is located at the Sale campus of CGHS.
The Unit provides acute, sub-acute (Geriatric Evaluation Management/Rehabilitation) AOD and palliative care services to patientsKey ResponsibilitiesSupports the Nurse Unit Manager and the team to review and evaluate best practice, evidence based clinical care.The EN at CGHS will deliver a high standard of evidence based nursing care under the direction andsupervision of the Registered Nurse (RN).
