As the Community Assets Management Coordinator, you'll lead the planning and management of a diverse portfolio of community assets valued at more than $2.9 billion.
From parks and playgrounds to libraries, community facilities, sports venues and aquatic centres, your work will help ensure these assets remain safe, sustainable and ready to meet the needs of our growing community.This is a strategic leadership opportunity where you'll influence long-term investment decisions, drive asset management excellence and lead a high-performing team that delivers lasting community outcomesThis exciting role will:Lead and develop a high-performing team responsible for managing Lake Macquarie's diverse community asset portfolio, valued at more than $2.9 billionShape long-term asset management strategies, renewal plans and investment priorities that support a sustainable future for our community assetsDevelop and oversee capital works and renewal programs across parks, playgrounds, sports facilities, community buildings, libraries, cultural venues and aquatic facilitiesUse data, asset intelligence and whole-of-life planning principles to drive informed decision-making and financial sustainabilityBuild strong relationships with residents, community groups, government agencies and industry partners to deliver positive community outcomesDrive innovation and continuous improvement in asset management practices, systems and service deliveryRead the position statementhereand learn more about this exciting opportunity.LET'S HEAR ABOUT YOUYou're a strategic and collaborative leader who enjoys turning data and insights into meaningful community outcomes.
You bring a strong understanding of asset management,



a passion for continuous improvement and the ability to build productive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
Most importantly, you're motivated by the chance to influence how community assets are managed and invested in for future generationsDegree qualifications in a relevant discipline such as Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Environmental Planning, Recreation Planning or a related fieldDemonstrated experience preparing and implementing asset management plansProven leadership experience, including coaching, mentoring and developing high-performing teamsExcellent communication skills with the ability to engage and present to a broad range of stakeholdersStrong interpersonal and negotiation skills, including the ability to resolve complex issues and build consensusExperience managing community asset programs and projects that deliver quality outcomes on time and within budgetA strong understanding of asset management principles and whole-of-life asset planningDemonstrated success implementing process improvements and achieving measurable resultsExperience in community engagement and delivering excellent customer serviceA current Class C Driver LicenceLET'S REVEAL THE PERKSThis position provides:Competitive salary from $132,740 to $154,266 per year + 12% superannuationEnterprise Agreement pay increases applyCommencing salary set in line with skills and experience with annual reviews available to support movement through the salary range35-hour working week,
