We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join a specialist engineering team based in Wollongong.
Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will be responsible for the detailed electrical, instrumentation and control design of specialised HVAC systems.
You will work closely with the Technical Manager and primary electrical designer, gaining involvement across the full project lifecycle from initial specifications and design through to programming, testing and commissioning.This is a hands‐on, design-focused role offering broad technical exposure, ongoing development and the prospect to take end‐to‐end ownership of projects.The roleYour responsibilities will include:Reviewing project electrical and instrumentation specificationsDesigning HVAC control systems, including associated electrical enclosures and cablingProducing electrical schematics, enclosure layouts and equipment schedulesPreparing bills of materials and supporting project documentationDeveloping control philosophiesProgramming and configuring PLC and HMI systemsSupporting installation, testing, troubleshooting and commissioningWorking closely with engineering, design and project teamsAssisting with the delivery of projects within technical, commercial and scheduling requirementsAbout youTo be considered for this prospect,



you will need:A degree or advanced diploma in Electrical EngineeringAt least 2 years of electrical design experiencePractical experience using 2D AutoCADPLC programming experienceStrong analytical and technical problem‐solving skillsClear written and verbal communication skillsThe ability to manage competing priorities and project requirementsThe ability to work full‐time, on‐site in WollongongThis role may suit an experienced Electrical Engineer seeking greater project ownership, or an engineer with a few years of experience looking to broaden their technical capabilities within a supportive team.Highly regardedExperience in any of the following areas would be advantageous but is not essential:Industrial electrical or instrumentation designHVAC control systemsHMI programmingElectrical commissioningOil, gas or petrochemical environmentsHazardous‐area equipment and Gas Group II explosive atmospheresTraining and development can be provided across the company's specialist systems and industry requirements.Why consider this opportunity?
