We are seeking an experienced Graphic Designer to join a dynamic communications team, delivering high-quality creative solutions that inform, inspire and connect with stakeholders and communities across North Queensland.Based in either Cairns or Townsville, this role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse range of print, digital, video and online projects while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
The position is office-based, with flexible work arrangements available following an initial probation period.About the Role As Graphic Designer, you'll be responsible for developing compelling visual communications that support stakeholder engagement and community-focused initiatives.Your responsibilities will include:Designing and producing a broad range of communication materials including brochures, publications, presentations, social media assets, digital advertising, displays and video contentTranslating complex information into clear, engaging and accessible visual solutionsProviding expert advice on design, branding and digital communicationsManaging multiple projects and competing priorities to meet deadlinesCollaborating with internal stakeholders and external creative suppliersEnsuring all creative outputs align with brand standards and accessibility requirementsContributing to continuous improvement of visual communication processes and servicesGraphic DesignerCairns or Townsville | Full-Time Opportunity | 6 Months with possible extensionAre you a creative designer who thrives on turning complex information into engaging visual content?

Photoshop and Premiere ProExperience creating content across print, digital and video platformsStrong understanding of branding and visual communication principlesExcellent organisation, time management and stakeholder engagement skillsThe ability to manage multiple projects in a rapid-paced environmentA keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering high-quality creative workKnowledge of accessibility requirements, including accessible PDFs and Word documentsHighly RegardedFive or more years' experience in graphic design, visual communication or creative designRelevant tertiary qualifications in Graphic Design or a related disciplineExperience working within government or highly regulated environmentsWhy Apply?
