Basin Sands Logistics (BSL) is a privately owned Australian company providing transport, logistics and mining support services throughout Far West New South Wales and the Murray Darling Basin.Due to continued business growth and the expansion of our long-term mining contracts, we are seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our professional maintenance team based in Broken Hill.If you're looking to leave FIFO or shift work behind and enjoy a secure Monday to Friday position where you're home every night, we'd like to hear from you.About the RoleWorking from our Broken Hill workshop, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a modern fleet of heavy transport equipment and mobile plant to ensure maximum reliability and operational performance.Our fleet includes:Mack and Kenworth prime moversRoad train combinations and heavy trailersFront-end loadersKalmar Reach StackersGradersWater cartsCivil construction equipmentRoad maintenance plantAncillary mining support equipmentYour responsibilities will include:Preventative maintenance and scheduled servicingMechanical repairs and component replacementEngine, transmission and brake repairsHydraulic diagnostics and repairsBreakdown diagnosis and repairMaintaining service records and workshop documentationWorking safely and contributing to a positive team cultureAbout YouYou will ideally possess:Trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic, Plant Mechanic or equivalentExperience working on heavy vehicles,
