Chandler Macleod is seeking experienced Procurement Advisors to support a major Federal Government agency delivering high-quality procurement and contract management services across a diverse portfolio.
This is a 12 month full time termporary contract with potential extension and requires 3 days work from the office and 2 days from home.
The successful candidate can be based in Canberra, Melbourne or Sydney.As a Procurement Advisor, you will support the delivery of end-to-end procurement activities while providing trusted advice to internal stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include:Managing low to medium-risk procurements from planning through to contract establishmentPartnering with business areas to understand requirements, identify risks and develop effective procurement strategiesPreparing Spending Proposals, procurement plans, briefing papers and approval documentationConducting market research and supplier analysis to inform sourcing decisionsDeveloping and managing procurement documentation, including RFQs, RFTs and RFIsCoordinating and facilitating evaluation processes, including preparation of evaluation plans and reportsProviding procurement advice and guidance to stakeholders in line with Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and organisational policiesSupporting supplier negotiations and contract establishment activitiesAssisting with contract management, including variations, extensions and supplier performance monitoringMaintaining accurate procurement records and ensuring compliance with governance,



probity and audit requirementsBuilding positive stakeholder relationships and contributing to the successful delivery of procurement outcomesAbout YouTo be successful, you will demonstrate:2 to 5 years' procurement experience within a government environmentStrong understanding of the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs)Experience delivering end-to-end low to medium-risk procurementsExperience preparing procurement documentation, evaluation reports and approval briefsStrong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skillsExcellent written communication and drafting capabilityAbility to work independently and manage competing prioritiesRelevant qualifications in procurement, contract management, business or a related discipline will be highly regardedPrevious Commonwealth Government experience is highly desirableSecurity ClearanceApplicants must hold, or be eligible to obtain and maintain, a Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) Security Clearance.Why Apply?
