We cater for many events, from VIP lunches for 2 guests, up to 250 sit-down dinner guests.The College is seeking a Kitchen Assistant / Kitchen Hand to support the day-to-day operations of the kitchen through food preparation and maintenance of a clean & hygienic work setting.
The role will work across a 7-day roster, with the flexibility to accept additional shifts as and when they become available.Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssisting the chefs in the preparation of food including mainly cold foods e.g. salads, fruit and vegetables, and sandwichesReceiving, storing, handling, sorting and distributing food itemsCleaning benches,



floors and other kitchen areasWashing and cleaning utensils and dishesDisposing of rubbishEnsuring the kitchen is maintained in a clean and sanitary conditionImplementing all hygiene and Health & Safety regulationsThe successful applicant must have:Current experience working in a high-volume food service venue, function centre, hotel, restaurant or other commercial kitchen environmentBe a team playerAbility to follow directives and a willingness to learn new skillsHave full working rights in AustraliaPrevious experience in a College/School environment is highly regardedBe careful - Don't provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.
