Pharmacy Assistant (Delivery and Dispatch / Stores Person) - Slade PharmacyAbout the Role We're looking for a motivated and reliable Pharmacy Assistant (Delivery and Dispatch / Stores Person) to join our Slade Pharmacy team at Epworth Hospital Richmond in a permanent full-time capacity.
This is a dynamic and hands-on role that plays a vital part in ensuring the safe and timely delivery of medications to patients and hospital wards.Working Monday to Friday, you'll be part of a fast-paced setting where your attention to detail and commitment to service will make a real impact.
While the role is primarily focused on stores and logistics, any prior experience in pharmacy - such as a pharmacy assistant role - is highly valued and will help you thrive.You'll be responsible for receiving and dispatching stock, managing inventory, and ensuring medications are delivered accurately and efficiently.
From unpacking and checking deliveries to supporting urgent medication rounds and IVF cycle dispatches, your work will directly support patient care and hospital operations.This is a great opportunity to build your career in pharmacy services, gain exposure to hospital pharmacy operations, and be part of a supportive team that values growth, collaboration, and excellence.Roster: This is a permanent full time position working Monday to Friday.
Shift times are rostered between 7.00am and 6.00pm in line with operational requirements, with start and finish times varying depending on business needs.Key Responsibilities:Receive, process, scan and distribute hospital ward medication orders and IV fluidsReceive stock from suppliers efficiently and ensure timely dispatchReturn unwanted/damaged stock to wholesalers for creditProcess store transfers between wards and sitesUnpack and check stock against invoices,



reporting discrepanciesRe-pack stock as requiredDeliver urgent medications and IVF cycle medications to wardsParticipate in scheduled pharmacy stocktakesMaintain medication levels and check expiry datesMonitor and report fridge, freezer, and storeroom temperaturesRespond to customer enquiriesAssist with documentation and record keepingSupport pharmacy operations with delivery and dispatch tasksThis is a physical role that requires manual lifting, standing, bending, and squatting.
