Cosmo Cranes and Rigging Pty Ltd is an established provider of crane hire, rigging, and lifting services across Recent South Wales.
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Small Engine Mechanic to join our Sydney-based team on a full-time, permanent basis.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform servicing, inspection, and preventative maintenance of crane equipment prior to dispatchDiagnose mechanical faults in engines and related componentsRepair or replace defective parts and reassemble mechanical systems in accordance with manufacturer specificationsConduct detailed inspections, condition reports, and rectification work on returned crane equipmentComplete accurate and detailed service and maintenance recordsUndertake sandblasting, spray painting, and labelling of crane componentsAssist with preparation and setup of cranes for upcoming jobsWork collaboratively with rigging, mobile crane, and crane deck teamsPrepare lifting equipment, tools, and materials required for installationMonitor consumables and liaise with management to maintain stock levelsMaintain a clean, safe,



and organised workshop and yard environmentQualifications and ExperienceRelevant AQF Certificate III qualification (or equivalent) in Small Engine Mechanics or related fieldAt least 2 years of relevant full‐time work experience as a Small Engine MechanicDemonstrated experience in diagnosing and repairing engines and mechanical systemsAbility to interpret technical manuals and service documentationStrong attention to detail and commitment to safetyPreferred (but not essential)Experience working with cranes, heavy equipment, or similar machineryForklift licence or other relevant ticketsEligibilityApplicants must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or hold valid Australian work rights.
