Meracare Aged Care is a family-owned residential care provider with homes in Carrum Downs, Frankston and Wangaratta.
We are searching for aPart Time Chef or Cook to work on Monday, Tuesday and Friday, ***********, and leave relief, for our 60-bed home in Wangaratta.Reporting to the Kitchen Team Leader and overseeing a team of catering staff, you will play a key role in delivering a high-quality catering service to our residents.
This role is essential in the preparation, presentation, and supervision of the provision of the resident's daily meals in accordance with dietary requirements whilst working cooperatively with care staff.What You'll Do:Provide high-quality catering services to the residents of the facility day to day and during special events as directed by managementPlanning, preparation and serving of resident meals, drinks and snacksOversee a catering team ensuring compliance with Food Safety PracticesParticipate in cost effective food ordering systemsManage food services that includes stock monitoring and control for the efficient use of resources.Demonstrated ability to comply with legal requirements (e.g. Accreditation Standards, Food Safety Act and Occupational Health and Safety Act i.e. hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen).
