We're partnering with a well-established international business seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to take ownership of the Australian finance function.
This is a standalone role locally, supported by an experienced global finance team, offering the autonomy to run your own remit while still having plenty of support when needed.The business has operated successfully in Australia for over 20 years and offers a genuinely flexible environment.
You'll work 24 hours per week, with the freedom to split your hours across 3 full days or 4–5 shorter days—whatever works best for you.This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys variety, likes being hands-on, and takes pride in owning the end-to-end finance function.The Role Reporting into the overseas finance team, you'll be responsible for the full accounting function for the Australian business, including:End-to-end financial accounting, month-end and year-end closeAccounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and bank reconciliationsPayroll coordination with external providersBAS preparation and statutory reportingFinancial reporting, reconciliations and analysisBudgeting and forecasting supportIntercompany accountingManaging external auditors and tax advisorsWorkers Compensation, FBT and other compliance requirementsInventory accounting and inventory reconciliations within a wholesale/distribution environmentMonitoring inventory movements and ensuring inventory records remain accurateReconciling third-party logistics (3PL) records to the ERP systemActing as the key finance contact for the Australian business while partnering with the global finance teamWe're partnering with a well-established international business seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to take ownership of the Australian finance function.
