To provide best support, the successful candidate will have experience in active support and behaviour support and be comfortable in managing behaviours of concern when required.
You will engage with the people we support to promote choice, encourage participation in the community and activities, and make each day enjoyable and meaningful.Joining ourSupported Independent Living (SIL)team on a permanent part time or casual basis, you will support two men and three women with disability to live their best lives in shared housing, providing various supports including personal care and daily living.
You can expect to work across a 24/7 roster,
including active night shifts.The successful permanent part time candidates must be able to commit to one of theset roster lines below:26.5 hours per fortnight:Week 2: Mon 3 – 11:30pm32 hours per fortnight:Key ResponsibilitiesFollow person-centred support and behaviour plansAssist with personal care and daily living activities including meal preparation and domestic tasksFacilitate client goal achievement through meaningful activitiesMaintain thorough record keepingBuild positive relationships with clients, families and colleaguesAdvocate for client choice and controlSkills & ExperienceExperience working with people with disabilities, including epilepsy managementPrevious experience working with behaviour support plansExperienced in manual handlingComfortable to drive a large van to support community accessA current First Aid and CPR CertificateSuccessful candidates will be required to explicit probity checks including a National Criminal History Record Check and obtain an NDIS Clearance.Part Time hourly rate from $***** plus SuperCasual hourly rate from $***** plus SuperStable, predictable rosters and paid leave entitlementsDo meaningful work, positively impacting lives through relationshipsAccess to wellbeing program for employees and familiesAccess to Fitness Passport (workplace health and fitness program that gives you and your family access to a choice of gyms and pools across your area)Candidates with disabilities who require adjustments to the recruitment process or the application form in an alternate format can visit careers/ for information on our access and inclusion work and how to contact us directly.Applications close at midnight on Wednesday the 19th of August ****.Be careful - Don2t provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.
