We're looking for a qualified agronomist to work across our Kalbar and Lowood stores, covering horticulture, fodder and pasture crops, with regular on-farm and in-store customer contact.About the roleThis is a hands‐on, customer‐facing role.
You'll need to be comfortable talking with farm owners and family‐run operations, building genuine relationships, and pitching in wherever needed — we run a flat structure with minimal hierarchy, and delivering product on‐farm is part of the job, not beneath it.Main ResponsibilitiesMust be demonstrated in your application letter/resumeProvide agronomic advice on crop protection, nutrition and seed across vegetables (carrots, onions, sweet corn, beans, pumpkins,



brassicas, cucurbits), lucerne, pasture and fodder cropsSupport in‐store and on‐farm sales, working with farm owners and corporate accountsBuild long‐term relationships with customers and suppliersAssist with forecasting, extension activities, grower meetings and field daysGeneral branch support as requiredEducation / Experience / SkillsBachelor of Agricultural Science or similar relevant qualificationStrong knowledge of crop protection, nutrition and production in horticulture and/or broadacre systemsBroad knowledge of fodder and pasture agronomyStrong relationship‐building and communication skillsClass C licence (Forklift licence and AgSafe accreditation highly regarded, or willingness to obtain)Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
