Automation, AI and process improvement are encouraged throughout the organisation, including within our finance team.Located in Docklands, Melbourne, we offer a collaborative working environment with flexible hybrid working arrangements, including the opportunity to work from home at least three days per week.The OpportunityWe are looking for a capable and motivated Finance Officer to join our growing finance team.This is a hands-on finance operations role suited to someone with strong practical accounting knowledge and genuine commercial experience.Working closely with the Head of Finance, you will manage a broad range of operational accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, month‐end support and financial reporting.We are looking for someone who understands accounting, enjoys solving problems,



takes pride in accuracy and is comfortable using modern technology-including AI-to improve productivity and eliminate repetitive manual work.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts ReceivablePrepare and issue customer invoices accurately and on time.Allocate customer receipts and investigate payment discrepancies.Monitor debtor ageing and assist with collection of outstanding accounts.Resolve customer billing queries professionally and promptly.Maintain accurate customer account records within Xero.Accounts PayableProcess supplier invoices and ensure correct coding and approvals.Prepare supplier payment runs.Reconcile supplier statements.Investigate invoice discrepancies and resolve payment issues.Maintain supplier records and supporting documentation.Banking & ReconciliationsPerform daily and monthly bank reconciliations.Reconcile company credit cards.Investigate unmatched transactions.Resolve reconciliation differences promptly.Month-End AccountingAssist with month-end close.Reconcile balance sheet accounts allocated to the role.Review transactions for completeness and accuracy.Assist with preparation of monthly management reports.Financial AdministrationMaintain accurate accounting records.Ensure all financial documentation is complete and properly filed.Support compliance activities.Maintain strong financial controls and internal procedures.Work closely with other departments to improve finance processes.AI & TechnologyAt Tuned Global we view AI as an significant productivity tool.The successful candidate will be expected to make responsible use of approved AI tools to assist with:financial analysis;reconciliation investigations;report preparation;documentation;spreadsheet improvements;research;workflow automation;process improvement.All AI-generated work must be reviewed for accuracy and comply with company confidentiality and security requirements.Experience using AI professionally is highly regarded.Essential Skills & ExperienceMinimum 2–3 years' experience in a Finance Officer, Accounts Officer, Bookkeeper or similar finance role.Demonstrated hands‐on commercial experience using Xero.Experience with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.Experience completing bank reconciliations independently.Experience supporting month‐end close.Sound understanding of accounting principles.Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including:Pivot TablesXLOOKUP (or INDEX/MATCH)SUMIFSIF statementsData filtering and analysisExcellent attention to detail.Strong organisational and time management skills.Excellent written and verbal communication.High level of integrity and accountability.Australian working rights.Desirable ExperienceExperience in a Finance Officer, Accounts Officer, Bookkeeper or similar role.Experience using Xero in a business with regular AP, AR and bank reconciliation activity.Exposure to month‐end processes, including reconciliations, accruals or prepayments.Practical use of AI or automation tools in day‐to‐day work.QualificationsDegree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, orEquivalent commercial accounting experience.Please note: Xero Certification is viewed favourably but will not be considered a substitute for genuine commercial experience using Xero.
