Position OverviewReporting to the Principal Electrical Engineer, the Electrical Engineer is a key member of the engineering team for execution of projects within the EPC business unit.
The role provides technical advice on electrical design, prepares design and detailed output documents from specifications, concepts, on‐site surveys and sketches, and manages technical interfaces on turnkey projects.
It also involves coordinating tender estimates, representing Clarke Energy during tender negotiations, and ensuring profitability objectives are met.Core ResponsibilitiesContribute to IIF philosophies and culture at Clarke Energy.Manage personal health, safety, and environmental responsibilities.Enforce company quality, work health & safety, and environmental policies and procedures.Identify and report hazards and implement corrective actions.Accept accountability and responsibility for work, focusing on results.Treat all workers equally and fairly in accordance with company policies.Work productively with minimal supervision.May need to work extended hours and travel interstate as required.Communicate effectively in individual and group settings, delivering persuasive verbal and written communications.Build and maintain rapport and trust with customers, ensuring service meets or exceeds expectations.Commit to continuous improvement of internal systems and external service delivery.Technical ResponsibilitiesDesign electrical systems and procure materials and equipment, covering concept through design, construction, commissioning, and handover under supervision of the Principal Electrical Engineer.Assist and communicate with the electrical project design team,



including other engineers and draftspersons, to meet project objectives.Prepare detail design of all electrical systems and sub‐systems.Provide design support to the engineering manager for tenders.Coordinate consulting engineers for studies.Prepare design work to meet engineering specifications and comply with statutory, OHSW, and environmental requirements.Liaise with clients to establish and clarify project objectives.Coordinate or carry out basic estimates for engineering work to achieve profitability targets.Liaise with suppliers in specification, evaluation, selection, and procurement of subcontracted equipment.Provide progress reports detailing completed work, outstanding items, and amended design programs.Perform commissioning and testing of installed equipment.Assist the Business Unit Manager in sourcing new clients and identifying new business initiatives.Assist in recruitment and development of suitably qualified design staff.Support the monitoring of suppliers' performance in line with Key Result Areas and contractual obligations.Provide benchmarking data and analysis to ensure continued value, creativity, flexibility,
