We're looking for an experienced designer to join a busy communications team, creating engaging visual content that informs, connects and inspires communities across North Queensland.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast paced environment and is passionate about delivering high quality creative work that makes an impact.What you'll be doingDesigning engaging visual content across print, digital, social media and video platformsProducing brochures, publications, presentations, newsletters, advertisements, displays, maps and other communication materialsCreating and editing video content for a range of communication campaignsWorking closely with internal stakeholders to understand communication objectives and translate complex information into clear, engaging visual solutionsProviding advice on branding, creative design and visual communication best practiceManaging multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining exceptional qualityCoordinating with external suppliers including printers, photographers,



videographers and illustrators when requiredEnsuring all work aligns with accessibility standards and established brand guidelinesKeeping up to date with design trends and contributing ideas to continually improve creative outputsAbout youYou'll be an experienced Graphic Designer with a strong portfolio demonstrating your ability to deliver professional, polished creative work across multiple channels.We're looking for someone with:Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and Premiere ProExperience producing creative content across print, digital and videoKnowledge of Microsoft Office and creating accessible documentsExperience working within corporate or government branding guidelinesExcellent organisation and time management skills with the ability to juggle competing prioritiesA collaborative approach and solid stakeholder engagement skillsExceptional attention to detail and a passion for high quality designExperience working within large corporate or government environments will be highly regarded, as will tertiary qualifications in Graphic Design or a related discipline.What's on offerHourly rates from $***** to $***** + Super, depending on experience and suitabilityInitial contract till end of June **** with 2 x 12 month extension optionsBased in either Cairns or TownsvilleOffice based position with flexible work arrangements available after the initial probation periodOpportunity to work on meaningful communication projects that make a real impact across North QueenslandApplications Close 20th August *****Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted
