Job Type: Permanent position | Full time positionJob DescriptionOur client, Mill St Kitchen, is looking for a qualified and experienced Cook to support its kitchen operations and prepare quality meals for dine-in and takeaway customers.
Position descriptions are described below:CookResponsibilityPrepare, season and cook food in a café and dining setting.DutiesPrepare and cook meals in accordance with recipes and the café's menu;Check the quality and freshness of food ingredients before preparation;Operate ovens, grills and other cooking equipment and regulate appropriate cooking temperatures;Portion and present meals with appropriate sauces, gravies and garnishes;Prepare meals to accommodate special dietary requirements where required;Assist with estimating food and ingredient requirements for kitchen operations;Store and preserve food products using appropriate temperature-controlled facilities;Maintain a clean, safe and sanitary kitchen environment; andFollow food safety, OH&S; and other applicable hygiene requirements.QualificationAQF Certificate IV or higher;1–3 years of relevant experience in related field.Salary$************ + SuperannuationEmployment conditionsFull Time38 hours per week
