Quinquennial Visiting Medical Officer – General Adult Psychiatry - Campbelltown Mental Health SWSLHD - (Apply via eCredential)About The OpportunityCampbelltown Mental Health Service is seeking applications from suitably qualified Visiting Medical Officer to join our expanding High Dependency Unit (HDU).
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic and evolving service delivering high-quality, patient-centred care to consumers with acute and complex mental health needs.About the RoleThe HDU is a specialised inpatient service providing intensive, recovery-focused care for patients requiring a higher level of observation, clinical input, and multidisciplinary support.

This care will be provided within the clinical privileges granted by the Chief Executive (CE) on the advice of the SWSLHD Medical and Dental Appointments Advisory Committee (MDAAC).

As Sydney's recent airport develops and the region continues to expand, SWSLHD remains dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of its diverse community, making it an exciting and supportive environment for both patients and healthcare professionals.Eligibility and Experience RequirementsCurrent medical practitioner, registered, or eligible for registration, with the Medical Board of Australia and Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) and/or other specialist recognition as provided under the Health Insurance Act ****Demonstrated current clinical practice of a high standard and ability to adapt clinical practice in accordance with contemporary evidence based best practiceDemonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk managementDemonstrated participation in teaching and training at undergraduate and/or post graduate level, including supervision of junior medical staffDemonstrated commitment to continuing self-education and development, including evidence of participation in continuing medical education/ continuing professional developmentDemonstrated ability to comply with the service objectives of a public health organisation, including the provision of services to the local community, effective utilisation of resources,
