The Position
We are seeking Hardware Engineers, from graduate to senior level, to work with the latest FPGA, SoC and digital technologies to design and develop CEA's next generation RADAR, Electronic Warfare and ancillary systems.The Hardware Engineering team works with Engineers and Technicians from a multitude of different disciplines to provide complete solutions in areas of high-performance compute, FPGA based signal processing hardware, mixed-signal electronics and power delivery systems.
This is an exciting area, where you will be working with the latest hardware and high-end test equipment.
We are looking for an Electronics Engineer that has a strong work ethic with a desire to continually learn and improve.
Ideally, you will have a combination of skills in electronics design & schematic layout and FPGA development.
This will enable you to contribute to the development of our hardware and firmware system ecosystem.
Key responsibilities: As an electronics engineer, you would have design authority and be responsible for the entire hardware design process:
Design of mixed signal (analog and digital), FPGA based, communication and signal processing circuit boards;
Working closely with PCB Layout Engineers;
Testing, verification and integration of circuits and assemblies,
from prototype to production and deployment;
Design, development and integration of high speed, RTL modules in System Verilog into parallel FPGA processing environments; and
Verification of RTL designs using Testbench based validation methodologies.

About You
Tertiary qualification in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline;
A keen interest in electronics design and FPGA development.
Experience with electronic circuit design and PCB design.
Experience in FPGA design with SystemVerilog/Verilog/VHDL.
Familiarity with supporting embedded programming languages (C/C++/Python);
Passion for development, sound understanding of engineering tradeoffs and a pragmatic approach to problem solving;
Sound teamwork and communication skills
Proficient in risk management and project coordination.
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and under tight deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Eligibility
An Australian Citizen;
Eligible to obtain and maintain an AGSVA clearance – Negative Vetting 2.
