We are seeking an experienced and hands-on
Housekeeping Supervisor
to join our team and help ensure our rooms and public areas are consistently presented to a high standard.
This is an active, operational role suited to someone who enjoys working alongside the team, takes pride in attention to detail and understands the importance housekeeping plays in the overall guest experience.
About the role
Working closely with hotel management and the housekeeping team, you will assist with the day-to-day coordination and supervision of housekeeping operations.
Key responsibilities include:
Supervising and coordinating daily housekeeping operations, including room allocations and workflow;
Inspecting guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness, presentation and maintenance standards are consistently achieved;
Servicing guest rooms as required and supporting the team during busy periods;
Training, supporting and providing direction to housekeeping team members;
Monitoring productivity and assisting to ensure rooms are released efficiently and on time;
Identifying and reporting maintenance issues, damaged items and room defects;
Ensuring housekeeping trolleys, linen and guest supplies are appropriately stocked and maintained;
Responding professionally to guest requests and assisting with the resolution of housekeeping-related concerns;
Ensuring guest privacy,
security and lost property procedures are followed; and
Maintaining high standards of workplace health, safety and hygiene.
About you
The successful candidate will ideally have:
Previous housekeeping experience within a hotel or accommodation environment;
Previous supervisory or team leadership experience, or the ability to demonstrate readiness to step into a supervisory role;
A strong eye for detail and pride in maintaining high presentation standards;
A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to work alongside the team;
Strong organisational and time-management skills;
The ability to prioritise workloads in a rapid-paced hotel environment;
Good communication and interpersonal skills;
A positive, reliable and flexible approach to work;
A genuine commitment to providing an excellent guest experience; and
A strong understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
Hours and availability
The position may be offered on a
casual or part-time basis
, depending on the successful candidate.
Applicants must be available to work across a
7-day roster
, including weekdays, weekends and public holidays.
Hotel housekeeping is primarily a daytime operation, with shifts generally commencing in the morning.
