About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Standards & Compliance Lead to join our Product Development & Innovation team in North Plympton on a 12-month fixed term contract covering parental leave.
This role is critical to maintaining Philmac's product certifications, regulatory compliance and NATA laboratory accreditation.
You will act as the subject matter expert for Australian and international product standards, ensuring our products continue to meet evolving compliance requirements and industry expectations.
Working closely with Product Development, Quality and Manufacturing teams, you will manage certification programs, coordinate testing activities, support audits and provide technical guidance on standards interpretation.
What Will You Do?
Reporting to the Product Development Manager, your responsibilities will include:
Managing certification and approval processes for existing and new productsMaintaining awareness of Australian and international standards and regulatory requirementsCoordinating product recertification programs and surveillance testing activitiesEnsuring ongoing compliance with NATA accreditation and ISO ***** requirementsSupporting internal and external audits, including NATA and certification body auditsDeveloping and managing test plans for certification, product development and quality investigationsInterpreting test results and providing recommendations to key stakeholdersSupporting product quality investigations, customer claims and non-conformance reporting activitiesMaintaining laboratory records, test reports and certification databasesWorking collaboratively with Product Development, Quality and Manufacturing teams to ensure compliance requirements are metIdentifying opportunities to improve testing processes, systems and laboratory operations.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science or a related discipline3-5 years demonstrated experience working with NATA accreditation requirements (preferred)Strong knowledge of Australian Standards, product certification and compliance processesExperience within manufacturing, product testing, laboratory, quality or engineering environmentUnderstanding of ISO ***** and/or ISO **** principlesExperience managing internal and external audit activitiesStrong analytical, problem-solving and report-writing skillsExcellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple certification timelines and priorities,
find solutions and drive to meet deadlinesHigh attention to detail and the ability to interpret technical standards and requirementsStrong stakeholder management and communication skillsAbility to work autonomously while collaborating effectively across teams.
Experience within manufacturing, plumbing, irrigation, water, industrial products or related industries will be highly regarded.
