The Opportunity
Responsibilities
As a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operations.
Your day will include:
Carrying out scheduled preventative maintenance and repairsWe offer both AM and PM shifts to support operational requirements.
You'll also participate in an on-call roster approximately once every six weeksServicing trucks, trailers and heavy mobile equipmentDiagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faultsTest driving and operating equipment to confirm repairs have been completed successfullyReplacing and repairing defective componentsMaintaining high safety and quality standards in the workshop
About You
We're looking for a safety-focused mechanic who enjoys working in a collaborative team environment and takes pride in delivering quality workmanship.
You'll Bring
Certificate III in Automotive (Mechanical – Heavy Vehicle Road Transport) or Light Vehicle Mechanic qualificationStrong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics and mechanical systemsHeavy Rigid (HR) Licence (highly regarded)Excellent communication and teamwork skillsA strong commitment to safety and continuous improvementThe ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening
