As an Airport Operations Officer, you'll be at the heart of airport operations, helping deliver a safe, efficient and exceptional experience for thousands of passengers, visitors and stakeholders every day.
No two days are the same.
One moment you could be assisting passengers in the terminal, the next you're conducting airside inspections, escorting contractors, marshalling aircraft, responding to operational incidents, or supporting airport emergency responses.
This is a hands-on, highly visible role where you'll play a vital part in ensuring Newcastle Airport operates safely, smoothly and efficiently.
About the role...
You will be;
Supporting passengers, visitors and stakeholders across the airport precinct
Monitoring terminal operations and passenger flows
Conducting airside and landside inspections
Marshalling visiting aircraft
Providing airside escorts and operational support
Responding to incidents and emergencies
Acting as a key operational contact for airport stakeholders
Supporting safety, compliance and security activities across the precinct
Identifying and escalating maintenance and facility issues
Contributing to a positive passenger experience every day
About You...
You're someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys engaging with people, and takes pride in keeping operations running smoothly.
You'll bring:
A current Driver's Licence
A customer-first mindset and a genuine passion for helping people
Strong situational awareness and the ability to proactively identify and respond to issues
Confidence making decisions and solving problems in a agile operational environment
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with a diverse range of people
A safety-first approach and commitment to maintaining high operational standards
Sound computer skills, including Microsoft Office
A First Aid qualification, or willingness to obtain one
Experience in aviation, airport operations, emergency response, security, facilities, logistics, transport or similar operational environments are not essential but will be highly regarded.
