We are looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to take ownership of payroll and related functions across our diversified group.
This hands-on role offers flexibility, autonomy and the opportunity to work with a high-performing team in contemporary offices near the Adelaide CBD.
The engagement can be structured as either:
Part-time employment; or
An independent contractor arrangement for someone operating under their own ABN.
The expected commitment is approximately ***** hours per month.

What you will own
You will manage accurate, timely and compliant payroll processes across multiple business units, including:
Calculating and processing weekly and monthly salaries and wages
Ensuring payments comply with relevant awards, legislation and government requirements
Preparing and lodging pay-day superannuation payments through a clearing house
Preparing and lodging Single Touch Payroll information
Producing monthly payroll reports
Assisting with payroll tax calculations and payments
Completing end-of-year payroll reporting
Establishing and maintaining accurate employee master-file records
Resolving payroll queries with professionalism and care
What you will bring
You are an experienced payroll professional who can work independently, manage competing priorities and maintain accuracy under pressure.
Ideally, you will have:
At least three years' payroll management experience
Demonstrated experience delivering multiple medium-to-large payrolls
Solid award interpretation skills
Experience with TechnologyOne Payroll or a comparable payroll platform
Sound knowledge of payroll compliance, superannuation, STP, payroll tax and WorkCover
Excellent attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills
The ability to meet strict weekly, monthly and end-of-month deadlines
Clear, confident interpersonal and communication skills
A proactive, flexible and practical approach
A diploma-level qualification in accounting or bookkeeping—advantageous, but not essential

You will have the judgement to work autonomously, the humility to collaborate and the confidence to earn the respect of colleagues across the Group.
