Alpenrose Bar & Bistro at Tamar Valley Resort
Located in Grindelwald, Tasmania, the Alpenrose Bar & Bistro at Tamar Valley Resort is a fast paced restaurant and function centre.
Nestled in the hills overlooking the Tamar river and only a short 15min drive from Launceston, this is an idyllic location for both work and play.
We are looking for a motivated, qualified chef to join our friendly kitchen team at the resort.
Our kitchen caters for a 135 seat restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner 7 days a week, as well as 8 function and event spaces.
Applicants for the position must:
- Have prior demonstrated experience of working in a busy kitchen and a certificate 3 or higher in commercial cookery
- Have knowledge of stock level control and experience with ordering all kitchen supplies
- Experience in meeting budget requirements for food and rostering
- Be enthusiastic and passionate about their job
- Be confident working in a busy kitchen in independent and team situations
- Be able to work flexible schedule, including weekends and public holidays
- Have their own transport.
