This is a rare opportunity for an accomplished Event Manager to join a rapidly growing event business at a pivotal stage of its evolution, helping lead projects across Australia while contributing to our expanding international portfolio in New Zealand and the United States.
About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Event Operations, the Event Manager will lead the planning, coordination and delivery of major events across the Out There Group portfolio.
You will manage project schedules, budgets, contractors, stakeholders and operational teams while ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end planning and delivery of major events
Manage project schedules, critical paths and milestone programs
Develop and manage event budgets, forecasts and reconciliations
Lead stakeholder, client, authority and contractor relationships
Oversee procurement and contract management processes
Manage event operations, logistics and workforce planning
Identify and mitigate project risks
Lead event delivery teams onsite across Australia
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence
Mentor and support Coordinators
Working Environment
This is a full-time, office-based leadership role located at our Kingscliff, NSW headquarters.

Our Event Operations team works closely together every day, bringing ideas to life and solving challenges in a fast-paced and highly engaging environment.
Given the leadership responsibilities of this role and the need to work closely with clients, stakeholders, contractors and internal teams, the position is based from our Kingscliff office.
In return, you'll enjoy being immersed in the planning and delivery of some of Australia's most recognised events while working alongside an experienced and passionate team of event professionals.
About You
You are a proven event leader who combines strategic thinking with exceptional operational execution.
You'll Bring
Minimum 7 years' experience delivering large-scale events, festivals or major projects
Solid project management and financial management capability
Exceptional leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
Experience managing multidisciplinary teams
Strong commercial acumen and contract management experience
Excellent planning, reporting and organisational skills
Ability to work under pressure and solve problems proactively
Willingness to travel nationally and work event-related weekends
