Training Alliance Group (TAG) is looking for an experienced statutory supervisor to deliver and assess our Statutory Supervisor (Schedule 26) course on a casual basis in Perth.
This is a great opportunity for someone with real, on-the-ground statutory supervisor experience who wants to pass that knowledge on to the next generation of WA mining and resources workers.
About the role
You'll deliver and assess BSBWHS411, BSBWHS414 and BSBWHS513, face to face and/or online, bringing practical credibility to the training through your own time in the role.
You'll contextualise delivery to the WA mining and resources industry and the current WHS (Mines) Regulations ****, and guide participants on the separate LGIRS legislation exam pathway (administered externally by the regulator, not by MTACS).
Selection Criteria:
Experienced statutory supervisor – currently or previously appointed as a statutory supervisor under WA mining legislation (WHS (Mines) Regulations **** / Schedule 26, or the former Section 44), with substantial time in the role
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE*****) or the current equivalent recognised under the Standards for RTOs
Demonstrated vocational competency and current industry experience in the WA mining and resources sector
Demonstrated competency (or the ability to evidence currency) in BSBWHS411, BSBWHS414 and BSBWHS513, or equivalent WHS units
Sound working knowledge of the WHS (Mines) Regulations **** and the Schedule 26 statutory supervisor requirements
Demonstrated ability to deliver and assess nationally recognised training in face-to-face and/or online modes
High level facilitation, communication and interpersonal skills,



with the ability to engage adult learners from diverse backgrounds
Ability to maintain accurate records and meet RTO compliance requirements
Availability to deliver on a contract basis, with flexibility across scheduled course dates and locations
Experience delivering Schedule 26 / statutory positions training – desirable
Current WA driver's licence and willingness to travel to regional training locations – desirable
Qualifications
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE***** or the current equivalent) – essential
Vocational competency in the units being delivered (BSBWHS411, BSBWHS414 and BSBWHS513
The following would be highly regarded:
Diploma of Vocational Education and Training or Diploma of Training Design and Development
Diploma of Work Health and Safety
Standard 11 (Generic Induction) and relevant site inductions
