Are you a senior dermal therapist who enjoys mentoring others and setting clinical standards?
The Australasian College of Health and Wellness (ACHW) is seeking an experienced Clinical Facilitator Contractor to support and guide students in a live clinical setting.
This role is ideal for an experienced dermal clinician/therapist or industry educator who is ready to step into structured education, while remaining hands‐on, clinic‐based, and closely connected to contemporary aesthetic practice.
ACHW is a TEQSA‐accredited higher education provider delivering industry‐aligned qualifications in clinical aesthetics.
Our teaching clinic model allows educators to focus on clinical excellence, student development, and best practice, without sales pressure or productivity targets.
Clinics are typically delivered in consecutive 4–5-day blocks, so the engagement would generally be on a contractor basis for approximately 4–5 consecutive days at a time.
Successful candidates will be engaged as independent contractors and must have their own ABN or ACN.
About The Role
You will support students enrolled in the Bachelor of Applied Health Science (Clinical Aesthetics) during their practical clinical training.
You will play a key role in developing students' clinical confidence, treatment skills, and professional behaviours.
The role combines demonstration, observation, feedback, and assessment within a structured teaching clinic, ensuring students graduate work‐ready and aligned with industry expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver hands‐on clinical supervision and practical instruction
Mentor students throughout their clinical learning journey
Observe, guide and assess student treatments in line with best practice
Provide clear, constructive feedback to support skill development
Promote safe practice, clinical reasoning and professional conduct
Maintain accurate clinical and student documentation
Contribute to continuous improvement of clinical teaching practices
Participate in team meetings and professional development
Areas of clinical supervision may include
Manual lymphatic drainage
Electrical facial treatments
Clinical microdermabrasion and chemical peels
Skin needling and dermaplaning
Light‐based therapies (hair reduction, rejuvenation, vascular and pigmentation treatments, tattoo removal)
Plasma Pen
About You
You are a confident, experienced dermal clinician with a genuine interest in developing future practitioners.
Essential
Bachelor degree (or higher) in Dermal Therapy, Clinical Aesthetics, Health Science or a related discipline
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or a Graduate Certificate in Training and Assessment (or willingness to obtain if not already held)
Minimum 5 years relevant clinical experience within dermal therapy or aestheticsStrong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to build rapport with students and support diverse learning styles
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Highly regarded
Previous experience teaching, training or mentoring within the dermal or aesthetics industry
Experience working with students, graduates or junior clinicians
Experience in a teaching clinic, RTO, higher education or brand education environment
Confidence facilitating small groups (approximately 5–12 students)
