Job Title: IBM Integration Suite Architect (15+ Years Experience)
Role Overview
We are looking for a seasoned IBM Integration Suite Architect with 15+ years of IT experience and solid expertise in designing, implementing, and governing enterprise integration solutions using IBM technologies.
The role involves leading complex integration programs, defining architecture standards, and ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing integration landscapes.
Key Responsibilities
Define end-to-end integration architecture using IBM Integration Suite components such as:
IBM MQ
IBM API Connect
IBM DataPower Gateway
Design scalable, reusable, and loosely coupled integration solutions.
Develop architecture artifacts: HLDs, LLDs, canonical data models, integration patterns.
Define enterprise integration strategy (API-led, event-driven, microservices-based).
Establish standards, frameworks, and best practices for integration.
Drive governance across APIs, services, messaging, and event streaming.
Ensure compliance with security, performance, and reliability standards.
Design and implement API management strategies using IBM API Connect.
Define API lifecycle management, versioning, throttling, and security policies.
Enable microservices architecture and containerization (OpenShift/Kubernetes).
Architect asynchronous integrations using IBM MQ and Kafka/Event Streams.




Design event-driven architectures for real-time data processing.
Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and message reliability.
Security & Compliance
Implement security frameworks including OAuth2, JWT, TLS, and API security policies.
Ensure data protection, encryption, and compliance with enterprise standards.
Work closely with security teams for audits and governance.
Technical Leadership
Lead and mentor integration teams across development and delivery.
Conduct design reviews, code reviews, and architecture governance sessions.
Troubleshoot complex integration and performance issues.
DevOps & Delivery
Drive automation, monitoring, and observability (logging, tracing, alerts).
Required Skills & Experience
Experience
15+ years of IT experience with 8–10+ years in enterprise integration.
Strong hands-on experience with IBM Integration technologies.
Proven experience architecting large-scale, mission-critical integrations.
Technical Skills
IBM MQ
IBM API Connect
IBM DataPower
IBM Event Streams / Kafka
Strong knowledge of:
REST/SOAP APIs
JSON, XML, XSLT
Integration patterns (EIP)
API-led connectivity
Event-driven architecture
Microservices and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
Hybrid and multi-cloud integration
Certifications (Preferred)
IBM Certified Integration Architect / Solution Architect
