About the Opportunity
Make a meaningful difference to the social and emotional wellbeing of Yarnangu people across the Ngaanyatjarra Lands.
As a
Social Worker (SEWB)
, you'll provide culturally safe, trauma-informed and community-led support to individuals, families and communities.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you'll provide counselling, advocacy, care coordination and outreach while helping strengthen resilience, connection to culture, family and Country.

Flexible FIFO roster options – 4 to 8 weeks on each swing, depending on your location.
About you:
You're a qualified Social Worker who is passionate about culturally safe, community-led practice and supporting the social and emotional wellbeing of Aboriginal people.
Essential Criteria:
A Degree in Social Work and eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
Demonstrated experience delivering culturally secure services across Aboriginal health, SEWB, mental health, child and family services or related settings.
Experience in trauma-informed assessment, counselling and psychosocial support.
Strong cultural capability and a commitment to working in a malparara way.
The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
A current driver's licence and willingness to travel across the Ngaanyatjarra Lands.
Desirable:
Experience working in remote Aboriginal communities.

Established in ****, the Ngaanyatjarra Council Group (NCG) represents the interests of the Ngaanyatjarra People across the 11 communities in the Central Desert region of Western Australia.
Employing in excess of 450 people, NCG provides a wide range of services, including health, utilities, construction, employment, community development, shops, roadhouses, art centres and land services.
It is one of the largest and most successful Indigenous organisations in the country.
