ABBA Engineering is looking for an experienced Pipe Fitter / Welder to join our new Pinjarra workshop.
This is an opportunity to become part of a growing operation at an exciting stage of its development.
You'll play a hands-on role in fabricating and delivering quality pipework, assemblies and equipment for our mining, dewatering and industrial projects, while helping shape how our new facility operates.
We're looking for a trade-qualified Pipe Fitter / Welder, Welder/Fabricator or experienced Boilermaker with strong experience in stainless steel and carbon steel pipe fabrication and welding.

Our New Pinjarra Workshop
Our new facility has been purpose-built to support high-quality fabrication, equipment rebuilds and assembly work, featuring:
Dedicated rebuild and assembly bays
Automated welding systems
CNC laser cutting capability
Overhead cranes and lifting equipment
Structured QA and workflow systems
Modern workshop tooling and workshop layout
You'll have the equipment and facilities to do the job properly, while working alongside an experienced team focused on safety, quality and productivity.
The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
You'll be hands-on across the full fabrication process —
from drawing to finished assembly

Fabricate, fit and repair stainless steel and carbon steel pipework
Perform
TIG, GMAW/MIG and robotic welding
Complete
6G pipe welding
where required
Measure, cut,
prepare and align pipe and components
Fabricate pipe spools, manifolds and associated assemblies
Read and work from engineering drawings and specifications
Grind, polish and finish completed welds
Inspect your work and complete repairs or rectification where required
Safely operate workshop equipment, tools and forklifts within your competency
Work with the wider workshop team to deliver safe, quality work on schedule

What You'll Need
Essential
Relevant Australian trade qualification in Welding, Fabrication, Pipe Fitting or a related engineering trade
Minimum 2 years' relevant post-trade experience
Demonstrated experience in stainless steel and carbon steel pipe fabrication and welding
Strong GMAW/MIG and TIG welding skills
Ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings
Ability to measure, fit and align pipework accurately
Ability to successfully complete a 6G weld test, where required
Current C Class driver's licence
Current Forklift (LF) licence
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
Desirable
Experience in mining, dewatering, engineering or industrial fabrication
Experience with robotic welding systems
Experience fabricating manifolds, pump pipework or similar assemblies
Additional high-risk work licences or relevant tickets

You're a practical, reliable tradesperson who takes pride in getting the job right the first time.
You can read a drawing, measure and fit pipe accurately,
lay down a quality weld and take ownership of the finished product.
