About the Role:
As our Digital Content Officer, you'll play a key role in shaping how the community connects with Council online.
Working within the Community Engagement Team, you'll create, publish and manage engaging digital content across Council's websites, social media and other digital channels, ensuring information is accessible, accurate and focused on delivering a great customer experience.
This is a hands-on role where you'll combine content creation, website administration and digital analytics to continuously improve Council's digital platforms.
You'll also support staff across the organisation with their digital needs, contribute to user testing and platform enhancements, and help ensure our online services remain accessible, compliant and user-friendly.
About you:
You are an experienced digital communications professional with a qualification in digital communication, marketing, media, web design or a related field, backed by significant experience managing digital content and delivering engaging online experiences.
You have strong written and verbal communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to turn complex information into clear, audience-focused content across a range of digital channels.
You bring hands-on experience with content management systems, email marketing platforms,
Adobe Creative Suite and multimedia content creation, along with strong organisational skills and a customer-focused approach.
Experience with HTML is essential, while CSS, Squiz Matrix and knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG) will be highly regarded.
Most importantly, you're collaborative, proactive and passionate about improving digital experiences for both customers and colleagues.
