About the role
The Coffee Maker is a busy, independent cafe in beautiful Corlette, Port Stephens.
This is a hands-on role that is primarily kitchen-based, preparing and cooking breakfast and lunch menu items, but you'll be equally happy jumping behind the coffee machine or helping the front-of-house team when needed.
Key responsibilities
Prepare and cook breakfast and lunch menu items
Complete daily kitchen preparation
Work independently during busy service periods
Follow recipes, portioning and presentation standards
Maintain a clean, organised and food-safe kitchen
Make quality coffee and assist behind the coffee machine when required
Help with front-of-house service during busy periods
Assist with dishes, cleaning and general cafe duties
Work as part of a small team and help wherever needed
About you
Previous commercial kitchen or cafe cooking experience preferred




Confident cooking breakfast and lunch
Able to work independently and stay calm during busy service
Barista experience or confident using a commercial coffee machine
Take pride in food quality and presentation
Positive, team-oriented attitude
Reliable, punctual and take pride in your work
Happy being a true all-rounder rather than being restricted to one area of the cafe
