The PCHN
Safety, Quality and Performance team is evolving, with a strong
focus on supporting frontline care delivery, strengthening
contemporary governance and service improvement, and embedding
robust safety and quality systems across Perth Children's Hospital
and Neonatology (PCHN).
About
the Role
We are
seeking an experienced Senior Policy Coordinator
to lead and coordinate the development, implementation and review
of policy across PCHN.
Reporting to
the Director, Safety, Quality and Performance PCHN, you will work
closely with senior clinical and corporate leaders, governance
committees and CAHS colleagues to develop and implement
evidence-based policies that support safe, high-quality care and
align with legislative, regulatory and strategic
requirements.
A key focus
of the role for the first ***** months will be supporting the
development and implementation of a CAHS-wide policy strategy
including rationalising the existing policy suite, identifying
duplication and opportunities to streamline processes, and
strengthening governance and accountability for policy development,
implementation and review.
This is an exciting opportunity to help
deliver a streamlined and contemporary policy framework that
supports compliance, reduces duplication and enables consistent,
evidence-based practice.
You will
bring a strong process and improvement mindset, working with
stakeholders to understand the rationale for change, identify
practical solutions, build support and translate policy
requirements into consistent practice.
Key
responsibilities include
Leading
the development, review, implementation and evaluation of PCHN
policies, frameworks and governance processes.
Working
with policy owners and senior stakeholders, providing expert
advice on policy development, governance, compliance and
implementation.
Identifying and managing
policy risks, compliance requirements and opportunities to
strengthen governance.
Supporting alignment
with NSQHS Standards, legislative requirements and
accreditation readiness.
Leading
policy improvement initiatives, including the development,
implementation and evaluation of change
initiatives.
Building
policy capability through education, consultation and expert
guidance.
Preparing high-quality
reports, briefings and presentations for senior leaders,
governance committees, CAHS and WA Health.
Representing PCHN at
relevant forums and building strategic relationships to support
best-practice policy development.

experience leading the formulation, development, implementation and
evaluation of complex policies, frameworks or governance processes,
together with a strong understanding of policy governance,
compliance and the practical application of standards and
legislative requirements, we encourage you to

Allied Health & Neonatology), clinical teams and CAHS colleagues to
support safe, high-quality care.
We lead and coordinate work across
clinical governance, accreditation readiness, quality improvement,
clinical incident and risk management, policy, safety and quality
performance reporting and system-wide learning.

services.
