Mon–Fri work only, operating hours are 7:30 am–6:00 pm (rotating roster)
Permanent full-time role - 38 hours per week

About the role and team
We're looking for Court Security and Custody Officers to join the team at the District Court Building, reporting to our Operations Manager (Shane) and working in a team with our 120 Officers.
In the role, you'll have a great deal of variety - you may be ensuring courtroom safety in a trial one day and then escorting persons in custody the next.
Our paid training course will commence in
Early November
and will see you join a group of recruits on our 6-week training program.
We are eager to hear from all candidates seeking a recent role in the Court & Custody environment in Perth.
No prior custodial work experience is required for this position, and we welcome all applications, particularly those from those with a customer service, retail or hospitality background.
In this role, you will:
Assist with the management and movement of people in custody throughout the facility
Ensure the welfare of people in court and custody
Manage and escort people through the facility, in court and custody, and provide custody services during court hearings
Control room monitoring
Front-of-house reception and customer service
Manage the screening process for the court
Conduct patrols in and around the facility
What we're looking for
Full availability to work a rotating roster between 7:30 AM and 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday




Be willing to undergo a pre-employment medical assessment
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build rapport with people from different backgrounds
Available to commence a 6-week training course commencing in Mid June ****
