IronMerge is currently seeking an experienced Data Engineer for an immediate start 6-month contract prospect based at our clients West Perth offices.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced data analyst to step into a fast-paced mining and resources environment and have a big impact immediately.
About the role Working in a corporate office environment, you will play a key role in supporting our Tier One client' business improvement efforts in the various departments, while partnering closely with internal stakeholders across the business.
Duties: Collect, analyse and interpret financial, HR, safety and operational data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement Develop reports, dashboards and data visualisations using Power BI, Microsoft Excel and other business intelligence tools Engage with stakeholders across the business to understand reporting requirements and translate them into clear analytical models and insights Support productivity,



project and strategic planning initiatives by providing data-driven insights to guide decision-making Analyse financial and non-financial business performance data and present findings clearly to support business reviews and strategic decisions Skills and Experience: Previous experience in data analysis, financial modelling, business intelligence or a similar analytical role Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst, Data Analyst or similar, ideally working on data analytics projects within the Microsoft stack Advanced Power BI and Databricks skills, with strong experience developing dashboards, reports and data models Demonstrated ability to analyse complex datasets and provide insights that influence business decisions or strategy Experience preparing and presenting analytical reports to stakeholders, with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills To be considered applicants must be legally entitled to work without restrictions in Australia and most importantly you will need to be currently residing in Perth metro area.
