We are seeking Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates interested in building a long term career within the resources sector through a structured Bus Operator employment and training pathway.
This opportunity has been designed to provide the right candidates with training, support and practical experience before progressing into ongoing site-based employment.
The Opportunity Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work across major mining operations throughout Western Australia, with opportunities currently across: Newman Tom Price Karratha FMG Eliwana BHP mine sites Regional depot and school bus operations FIFO opportunities are predominantly 2:1 rosters, with shutdown and regional opportunities also available.
Candidates may initially commence through shutdown work before progressing into consistent FIFO employment, depending on experience and operational requirements.
Training & Development The pathway can include support across: TLIC**** - Operate Coach/Bus Heavy Rigid (HR) Licence pathway Passenger Transport Driver Authorisation First Aid Fatigue Management Mental Health & Wellbeing training Work Readiness FIFO lifestyle familiarisation Pre-employment medical and laboratory drug & alcohol screening Police clearance Site mobilisation and onboarding Candidates will receive ongoing support throughout training, mobilisation and employment,
with the objective of creating a genuine long term employment pathway rather than a short-term placement.
About You We're looking for people who: Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Are interested in establishing a career within mining/resources Are reliable, safety-conscious and willing to learn Are comfortable working FIFO or regionally Hold a current driver's licence Are willing to obtain the required licences and qualifications Can successfully complete site medical, drug & alcohol and police clearance requirements An existing HR Licence would be highly regarded but is not necessarily required from day one for the right candidate, with potential pathways available to assist suitable candidates in becoming qualified.
