Broker Assistant

About the Role
We're seeking a motivated Broker Assistant to join Peninsula Insurance in Kadina.
This is an excellent opportunity to launch your career in insurance broking in a friendly, country-based team.
You'll work alongside experienced professionals in a supportive workplace, learning the fundamentals of general insurance across a range of products whilst gaining hands-on experience in a real broking business.
Your Responsibilities
Support brokers in preparing quotations and insurance proposals for clients
Process insurance renewals and policy amendments
Manage client communications and queries, escalating complex issues appropriately
Prepare client files and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements
Assist with claims lodgement and liaison with insurers
Build relationships with clients, underwriters, and internal team members
Develop your knowledge of insurance products, market appetite, and broking processes.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail and organisational ability
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Genuine interest in insurance and client service
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word,



Excel, Outlook)
Desirable:
Exposure to insurance, financial services, or customer-facing roles
Familiarity with insurance broking software or CRM systems
Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) knowledge or willingness to learn
Tier 1 qualification (General Insurance Representative, Professional Indemnity or equivalent), training provided.
