CUSTOMER SERVICE/ADMINISTRATION OFFICER
Narromine Local Aboriginal Land Council (NLALC) is seeking a motivated and organised Customer Service/Administration Officer to join our team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a friendly and professional person who enjoys working with people, providing high-quality administrative support and contributing to positive outcomes for the local Aboriginal community.
As the first point of contact for Centrelink customers, you will play an important role in ensuring the smooth delivery of Centrelink Agency services.
You will also provide excellent customer service to members and support the daily operations of Narromine Local Aboriginal Land Council.
Key responsibilities include:
Delivering Centrelink Agency services in accordance with Services Australia requirements
Assisting customers to access Centrelink services and information
Helping customers use myGov, Centrelink online accounts and self-service facilities
Verifying customer identity and supporting documentation
Maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of customer information
Keeping accurate records of Centrelink transactions and Agency activities
Providing administrative and operational support to the CEO and Board
Responding to enquiries in person, by telephone and by email
Promoting a professional and positive image of NLALC
Helping maintain a clean, safe,
organised and welcoming office setting
The successful applicant will have strong customer service, communication and organisational skills.
They must be able to manage competing priorities, maintain confidentiality and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Applicants should be confident using Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel and Outlook, and willing to learn recent computer systems.
A respectful approach to working with Aboriginal people and communities is essential.
This is a part-time position working 30 hours per week.
An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated based on the successful applicant's qualifications and experience.
