The Department for Infrastructure and Transport plays a vital role connecting people and places in South Australia by managing roads, marine and public transport networks across the State, and builds and maintains the State-owned infrastructure that enables the delivery of essential and important government services to our community.
The Opportunity
The Civil Engineer delivers road design and drainage solutions for transport infrastructure projects.
Working under the guidance of Lead and Senior Engineers, the role provides professional technical services, manages project outputs, and procures specialist services, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, legislation and stakeholder expectations.
About you
You bring contemporary discipline knowledge and strong analytical skills to evaluate complex issues, risks and trends.
You deliver high-quality advice and concise reporting, with an understanding of social, economic and commercial considerations.
A collaborative professional, you build relationships, support change and share knowledge, with demonstrated experience delivering programs, managing resources and driving continuous improvement.
Educational Qualifications / Licences
A Degree in Engineering providing eligibility for graduate membership as a Professional Engineer of the Institution of Engineers, Australia is essential.
Special Conditions
A National Police Check (NPC)



which is required to employment with the Department of Infrastructure and Transport and is required to be renewed every three years.
Some out of hours and weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel requiring overnight stays, may be required.
