Maverick Trading is hiring a fully remote Equity & Options Trader open to applicants in Toowoomba, Australia. We are a 25+ year proprietary trading firm that allocates firm capital to disciplined traders and scales buying power based on performance and risk management.

Trading from Oceania: US markets run through your overnight hours — the NYSE opens at 12:30am AEST. Many of our Asia-Pacific traders structure trades the prior session and manage positions during a focused window. Oceania trades US markets overnight from your perspective — the NYSE opens early morning your local time.

Many of our Australian and New Zealand traders structure their trades the prior session and manage positions in a focused early-morning window.

This is not a challenge account. Not a demo evaluation. We provide structured capital allocation for traders who want a professional path to scaling capital.

What you will do:

- Trade equities and options within defined risk parameters

/n

- Follow a structured, rules-based risk management approach

/n

- Build consistency and scale capital based on performance

/n /n

Why options: Options allow traders to define risk, hedge exposures, and structure trades beyond simple directional stock positions. Maverick is one of the few proprietary trading firms that actively trades options as a core part of its trading approach.

Compensation: This is a 1099 independent contractor role. Compensation is a profit-split on trading performance, with no base salary. Top-tier traders earn 90% of their net trading profits.

- Independent decision-making and personal accountability

- Willingness to complete the Maverick Qualification Program before trading firm capital
