A senior resources organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Project Controls Lead to support a portfolio of brownfields capital works within a live, owner-operator mining environment.

/n

This role is not a single-project controls position. It is a portfolio-level role focused on execution readiness, governance, and predictability across multiple assets.

/n

Role scope

/n

You will work closely with Projects, Operations, Finance and senior leadership to bring discipline, transparency and certainty to capital execution.

/n

Key responsibilities include:

/n

/n

- Leading front-end planning and execution readiness across a portfolio of brownfields projects

/n

- Developing and maintaining fully integrated schedules (Primavera P6 or equivalent), including logic-linked interfaces between projects and operations

/n

- Establishing and embedding project controls standards, governance frameworks and reporting cadence

/n

- Cost control, forecasting, progress measurement (earned value or equivalent) and variance analysis

/n

- Supporting transition from study / definition into execution,



including schedule and cost baselining

/n

- Providing senior-level insight on schedule risk, sequencing conflicts and capital phasing

/n

- Working directly with senior stakeholders to inform decision‐making, not just reporting outcomes

/n/n

What we're looking for

/n

This role suits someone who is comfortable operating with ambiguity and influence rather than authority.

/n

You will bring:

/n

/n

- Extensive experience in project controls within mining or heavy resources

/n

- Proven exposure to owner‐operator environments, ideally across multiple assets or portfolios

/n

- Strong Primavera P6 capability (or equivalent enterprise scheduling tools)

/n

- Demonstrated experience in brownfields, live‐operations environments

/n

- Strong commercial and governance mindset with the ability to challenge assumptions constructively

/n

- Confidence engaging with senior leaders and holding the line on planning discipline

/n/n
