- Salary Range ($99,938 to $110,271)

Established in 1871, the Art Gallery of New South Wales is located in Sydney’s The Domain adjacent to the Royal Botanic Garden and near the Central Business District, the Gallery acknowledges the original custodians of this land – the Gadigal people.

The Art Gallery attracts around 2 million visitors annually and runs Australia’s largest education program with over 90,000 student and teacher visits per year.

With our expanded campus the Art Gallery has a new state-of-the-art building located next to our existing and much-loved building. Providing us with close to double the exhibition space, the expanded Art Gallery enables us to share more art with more people and provide more family, learning and educational programming for all our audiences.

About the Role
Contribute to the Gallery’s financial sustainability by supporting the Finance Manager in the administration and preparation of financial transactions and statements

What Technical/Soft Skills you require

1. Relevant qualifications in Business, Commerce or Accounting and studies toward CA or CPA.
2.



2+ years of accounting experience.
3. Sound knowledge and experience of financial accounting processes and practices and statutory compliance, including Australian Accounting Standards, the Government Sector Finance Act 2018, New South Wales Treasurer's Directions and Treasury Circulars.
4. Advanced knowledge and experience in the use of accounting systems, preferably SAP or similar.
5. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
6. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

1. Describe your experience supporting financial processes to ensure accuracy, compliance and quality outcomes within a tight timeframe. (maximum of 300 words)
2. Describe a time when you worked with internal or external stakeholders to resolve a financial or reporting issue. (300 word limit)
