What you'll be doing
As Clinical Nurse Educator, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the capability and confidence of the Emergency nursing workforce. You will design, implement and evaluate targeted education programs that strengthen clinical performance and improve patient outcomes. Your key responsibilities will be to:

- Develop and deliver orientation, onboarding, mandatory and ongoing CPD programs

- Mentor, coach and assess nurses to ensure clinical competence and progression

- Provide bedside teaching that translates advanced knowledge into real-time practice

- Partner with Nurse Managers and CNCs to align education with service priorities

- Drive innovation, change and quality improvement initiatives within the ED





You will maintain clinical currency and provide direct care when required to support learning or in emergency circumstances.

- Extensive Emergency nursing experience and/or post-registration qualification in education or specialty practice

Essential Requirement:

- Registration: Current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

Selection Criteria:

1. Demonstrated extensive clinical experience and/ or post registration qualification in the relevant speciality and nursing professional development/education.

2. Demonstrated ability to lead and implement change within the context of best practice clinical care and workplace culture

3. Demonstrated ability to design, implement and evaluate clinical education at the ward level, and provide support and guidance to ensure an appropriately skilled and qualified nursing and midwifery workforce, working within appropriate models of care.





4. Demonstrated effective and high level communication skills including negotiation and conflict resolutions skills in addition to proven ability to motivate and engage people in the clinical setting.

5. Demonstrated commitment to professional development and continuous improvement whilst ensuring currency of practice in the relevant specialty.

6. Strong commitment to the on-going development/enhancement of nursing practice within a patient centred, multi-disciplinary clinical workplace.

7. Relevant computer skills including database programmes and data entry.
