About DTL
/n
At DTL, we're on a mission to create activewear and lingerie that genuinely works for women of every shape and size.
/n
We design products from XS to 4X Curve, with sports bras ranging from A to J cups, and we're constantly pushing ourselves to create garments that provide better support, comfort and confidence than anything else on the market.
/n
As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Senior Garment Technician to join our team and help lead the next generation of product innovation.
/n
A Note From Our Founder
/n
Hi, I'm Rhi, Founder of DTL.
/n
When I started DTL, my goal wasn't to create 'just another activewear brand.' I wanted to solve problems that women had simply accepted for years.
/n
As we've grown, so have the challenges we're tackling.
/n
We're designing products for fuller busts and curve sizes that many brands won't attempt because they're technically difficult. They require countless fit sessions, endless sampling and a willingness to challenge the way garments have always been made.
/n
That's exactly why I'm looking for someone who loves solving complex technical problems.
/n
Someone who gets excited by construction.
/n
Someone who enjoys testing recent ideas.
/n
Someone who wants to build products that genuinely improve women's lives.
/n
If that sounds like you, I'd love to meet you.
/n
About the Role
/n
This is far more than a traditional garment technician role.
/n
You'll work directly alongside our Founder to develop cutting-edge lingerie, sports bras and activewear, taking products from concept through to production.
/n
You'll be responsible for ensuring every garment meets our exceptionally high standards for fit, support, comfort, performance and quality.
/n
You'll collaborate closely with our offshore manufacturing partners, refine technical construction methods and continuously seek opportunities to improve our products through innovation.
/n
If you've ever wanted the opportunity to help redefine women's lingerie and activewear, this is it.
/n
Key Responsibilities
/n
/n
- Lead technical development across lingerie, sports bras, activewear and stretch apparel.
/n
- Develop detailed technical packs including garment specifications, construction details, grading and measurements.
/n
- Review samples and provide comprehensive technical fit comments.
/n
- Conduct fit sessions and recommend technical improvements.
/n
- Collaborate directly with offshore manufacturers throughout the development process.
/n
- Troubleshoot construction and production issues.
/n
- Develop innovative construction techniques that improve fit, support and comfort.
/n
- Ensure products meet quality, fit and performance standards before bulk production.
/n
- Partner closely with Design to bring new concepts to life while maintaining manufacturability.
/n
- Research fabrics, trims, elastics and construction methods that enhance product performance.
/n
- Maintain accurate technical documentation throughout product development.
/n
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve existing products.
/n/n
About You
/n
We're looking for someone who is highly technical, naturally curious and genuinely passionate about creating better products for women.
/n
You'll bring:
/n
/n
- A qualification in Fashion, Garment Construction, Patternmaking or a related discipline.
/n
- 5+ years' experience as a Garment Technician, Technical Designer or Product Developer.
/n
- Extensive experience working with lingerie, sports bras, activewear or technical stretch garments.
/n
- Strong knowledge of garment construction, grading, fit and pattern interpretation.
/n
- Experience developing products from concept through to bulk production.
/n
- Demonstrated experience working directly with offshore manufacturers.
/n
- Advanced understanding of garment specifications, technical packs and production processes.
/n
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Experience with CAD software is highly regarded.
/n
- Exceptional attention to detail and outstanding organisational skills.
/n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
/n
- The ability to manage multiple product development timelines simultaneously.
/n
- A proactive mindset with the confidence to question traditional construction methods and explore new ideas.
/n/n
What Success Looks Like
/n
You'll help us:
/n
/n
- Develop industry-leading sports bras for fuller busts.
/n
- Create innovative products that set new standards within women's activewear.
/n
- Improve fit, support and comfort across every collection.
/n
- Build technical processes that allow Duke The Label to continue growing globally.
/n/n
Most importantly, you'll know the products you've helped create are making thousands of women feel more confident, supported and comfortable every day.
/n
Why Join Duke The Label?
/n
This is a rare opportunity to work directly with a Founder who is deeply involved in product development and genuinely passionate about innovation.
/n
You'll have the freedom to test ideas, challenge conventional thinking and create products that many brands simply won't attempt because they're too difficult.
/n
Every sample, every adjustment and every technical decision you make will contribute to building garments that have a real impact on women's lives.
/n
If you're someone who thrives on solving technical challenges, loves innovation and wants to be part of building something truly different, we'd love to hear from you.
