Leaving Violence Program - Program Manager

RAATISC's Leaving Violence Program team is growing, and we have an opportunity for you to be our new Program Manager based in Cairns!
/n
The team are looking for a skilled and compassionate individual who is committed to providing high quality support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
/n
About the program:
/n
The Leaving Violence Program supports eligible victim-survivors to leave, or who are planning to leave a violent intimate partner relationship.
/n
The Program can provide up to $5,000 in financial support (up to $1,500 in cash and $3,500 in goods and services).
/n
Eligible individuals can also get up to 12 weeks of case support for referrals, risk assessments and safety planning.

Position Purpose:
/n
Your primary role will be responsible for:
/n
Undertake a limited case load of case management and intake work to ensure program best practice across the Intake and Client Officer team if required.
/n
Undertake travel when necessary to remote communities across Cape York, Thursday Island,
the Gulf and Townsville supporting stakeholder engagement, victim-survivors accessing the program and Client Officers.
/n
Undertake daily approvals of eligible referrals.
/n
Oversee client officer and intake caseloads and manage allocation of any new referrals.
/n
Undertake daily approvals for client financial requests.
/n
Ensure accurate data entry into the case management system.
/n
Training of staff in the Program processes, intake and case management processes.
/n
Assist with Monthly data reporting.
/n
Along with your dedication to supporting our Mob, you will also apply your exceptional community engagement experience to create and maintain strong and supportive relationships with stakeholders.

The Opportunity:
/n
This is a full time, Cairns based position.
/n
Provide trauma-informed, client-centred, and culturally safe ethical and accountable practices to support the team when required.
/n
Provide emotional and practical support, ensuring victim-survivors feel supported and empowered with options to make informed decisions that enhance their safety.
/n
Implement intervention strategies, ensuring timely and effective responses to immediate safety concerns.
/n
About You:
/n
Must have experience and knowledge of risk assessment and safety planning and coordinated services responses.
/n
Ability to maintain a high level of privacy and confidentiality practices and organisational policy procedures.
/n
Ability to work in a culturally respectful and competent manner, with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander's young people, their families, and communities.
/n
Understand how Domestic and family violence impacts Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities and the challenges with accessing support services and safety.
/n
Have effective time management skills (punctuality, meeting deadlines, prioritising tasks) and the ability to provide leadership across the team.
/n
Be a productive, passionate, and positive contributor to an already established team that are dedicated to making a difference to vulnerable people's lives.
/n
Have a proficient level of computer skills and ability to learn software programs efficiently.
/n
