Executive Support Officer

- Employment Type: Temporary Opportunity until 15th June 2027
- Location: McKell, Sydney. Flexible/hybrid working arrangements available across NSW, with 50% office attendance required a fortnight.
- Grade: DCS clerk 5/6
- Salary Range: $99,938 – $110,271 base salary dependent on experience, plus 12% superannuation and Leave Loading

About the opportunity
An exciting opportunity has become available for an Executive Support Officer within the Executive Office of Government Technology Platforms; part of Digital NSW and the Department of Customer Service. Our aim is to be the state’s trusted partner to enable accessible and secure digital platforms and services for the citizens and businesses of NSW. https://www.digital.nsw.gov.au/delivery/government-technology-platforms

Reporting to the Executive Officer, will provide a range of executive support and administrative services to facilitate the effective delivery and continuous improvement of executive office operations. This role directly supports the Executive Director and contributes to broader organisational outcomes.

Key responsibilities

- Organising and maintaining the Executive Director's diary, scheduling meetings, and ensuring they are well-prepared for meetings.
- Drafting, reviewing, and managing emails, letters, and other forms of communication.
- Preparing agendas, taking minutes, and following up on action items from meetings.
- Creating and developing presentations, reports, and briefing notes.
- Supporting various projects by coordinating tasks, gathering information, and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Acting as a point of contact between the Executive Director and other staff or external stakeholders.
- Assisting in the planning and execution of events, workshops, and conferences.

What you will bring to this role

- Proven success in supporting senior executives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment to undertake a broad range of executive and business support functions

- Demonstrated ability to contextual information to critically assess and prioritise requests to assist focusing senior leaders' activity

- Manage the Executive Director’s diary, records, correspondence,



and meetings to effectively manage their agenda

- Experience in drafting, preparing and reviewing correspondence, agendas, minutes, presentations, and briefing notes to support business requirements, while assisting with reporting, analysis and maintaining processes

- Experience in supporting and delivering cross-team projects and initiatives including undertaking secretariat functions such as agendas, meeting papers and minutes

- Experience in assisting the team with planning, material collation, and analysis to meet organisational standards, while gathering and providing information for executive reports to support informed decision-making and planning.

- Experience in an agile, digital environment would be highly desirable
